Venturi Scrubber
The Venturi Scrubber is a wet scrubber that removes fine particulate and fume from industrial exhaust by forcing the gas through a constricted Venturi throat. The throat accelerates the gas and creates a pressure drop that disperses the particulate and drives it to collide with injected liquid droplets; the wetted particulate is then separated from the cleaned gas. The result is high efficiency on fine, sub-micron particulate that is difficult for dry collection.
