Packed Bed Scrubber
The Packed Bed Scrubber is a gas-absorption tower filled with random or structured packing — plastic or ceramic — for neutralising acidic or odorous gases. The polluted gas passes through the bed in counter-current or cross-flow while scrubbing liquid (water or a chemical solution) is distributed over the packing through spray nozzles. The large gas–liquid contact area drives pollutant absorption by mass transfer before the cleaned gas is discharged.
